As a Photolithography Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible to tackle critical lithography scribe challenges for memory devices. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting work for the photolithography team. This includes modeling to support optical simulation related to scribe mark, provide mark design recommendations, identifying root causes for sophisticated problems, and providing simulation training for other photolithography engineers. You will also define and lead projects to address photolithography performance gaps on current and future memory and storage nodes.
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understand the technology challenges with respect to overlay and establish project plans to address them for the N, N+1, and N+2 nodes.
- Work with vendor applications teams to find areas for overlay scribe improvement.
- Drive technical innovation in your area of expertise as a recognized Micron expert in your field.
- Standardize methods and procedures across area, department and/or FABs.
- Define and lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects that are essential to Micron's photolithography roadmap. Help to craft strategic decisions.
- Work with process development engineers on issues and projects related to photolithography.
- Summarize plans, progress to experimental work, and conclusions in the form of written reports.
- Provide advice and counsel to senior management on technical issues related to overlay scribe.
- Build strong customer relationships to understand customer expectations.
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness,exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabledenhancements within one's scope of work.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Strong understanding of photolithography. Familiarity with semiconductor process integration is a plus.
- Understanding of optics. Understanding of the principals of photolithography and optical metrology.
- Understanding of how lens aberrations, scanner chuck differences, and process variations can affect overlay.
- Understand various alignment and overlay marks. Understand how mark type and design can impact overlay errors. Experience with overlay mark simulation software is a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multi-functional teams and suppliers.
- Strong curiosity about research and development and ability to build production-worthy technologies.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsiblyand effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achievingbusiness outcomes.
Education:
B.S. in Engineering with emphasis on Lithography will be considered.
