Position Summary

As a pharmacist, you will learn new technologies and be a part of building the future of pharmacy. You will have the ability to make an impact in many patients' lives outside of what you may have learned in your day-to-day pharmacist role

We are seeking a Pharmacist I to serve our pharmacy dispensing operation. This position plays a key role in supporting the Pharmacy Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures proper dispensing of medications to the right patient, dose, and route of administration
  • Performs drug utilization reviews on all medications dispensed
  • Provides patient care services to enhance patient experience including but not limited to immunizations, patient consultations, medication therapy management, and resolving patient conflicts
  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment
  • Oversees pharmacy interns, technicians, production clerks, and other individuals involved in the daily operation of the pharmacy
  • Assists in managing inventory including controlled substances, storage, record keeping, and handling of recalled and expired medications
  • Adheres to applicable state and federal pharmacy practice rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Performs other administrative tasks when needed
  • Other duties necessary to improve patient care and increase efficiency
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy (Required)
  • Licensure/Certification
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required)
  • Active immunization and CPR certifications (Preferred)
  • Experience: 4-9 years of experience in a pharmacy setting (Required)
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:  
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and workflows
  • Willingness to obtain additional licensure and certifications as required
  • Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and provide guidance to pharmacy staff
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to patient safety
  • Passion for helping patients and improving healthcare outcomes

Work Environment

  • Location: On-site
  • Schedule: Availability to work weekends and holidays (rotations)
  • Typically works in a closed-door pharmacy setting
  • May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
  • The environment is generally clean and well-organized, with strict adherence to safety and health regulations.
Key Essential Functions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while interacting with staff and preparing medications
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, including medication boxes and supplies
  • Manual dexterity for compounding, labeling, and operating pharmacy equipment
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as necessary
