Mission Statement:

Finance Business Partners advise and support the business in areas related to future state financial performance including, Finance consulting and coaching (e.g., interpreting financial results and measures in the context of business operations). Providing forward looking financial insight on market conditions, competitors, and alternative business scenarios. Improving the quality of internal and external financial data to drive business decision making and performance.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the financial controlling of the Insulation & Components (“I&C”) activities at Transformers Business Unit, Hub Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa (“APMEA”), as a business partner.

  • Responsible for the financial performance of the I&C product group of APMEA Hub to meet the targets and identify improvement opportunities to increase profitability.

  • Analyze the monthly financial results of the units in I&C, identify root causes of deviations compared to budget and rolling forecast, take corrective measures to close the gaps.

  • Review the variations in the profitability, work collaboratively with other functions (Marketing & sales, Operations, Engineering etc) to identify the root causes and define actions to prevent the margin erosions and improve profitability. Support the business decisions across I&C Units in APMEA Hub. 

  • Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures within the area of responsibility.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports by all I&C units in the APMEA Hub. Execute monthly reviews with all I&C Units and delivering month-end analytics on a timely basis with variance analysis and commentaries. Present the monthly consolidated figures of I&C to Hub.

  • Take active role to monitor the cash flow delivered by the I&C units in APMEA Hub. Engage with other functions and with factories to improve the cash flow.

  • Improve the net working capital (NWC) of the I&C units, by implementing and driving projects. Special focus on levels of inventories at the factories to reduce the inventory turnover ratios (ITO). Reduce the overdues of I&C units, coordinate implementation of timely actions with other functions (Marketing & sales, Operations, Engineering etc) to collect the overdues, implement process improvement projects to reduce systematic overdues.

  • Support the I&C units for the tender risk management process.

  • Supports the I&C units in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the performance of the I&C operations across APMEA Hub. Develop and implement solutions for continuous improvements aiming improving efficiency of financial processes.

  • Take active role in Group SAP implementation/ improvement projects. Support I&C Units for the project. Coordinate necessary actions with Hub Business Process Owner team and the Local Unit SAP implementation project teams.

  • Ensures adherence to Internal Controls to secure correctness of financial reporting (ABACUS) following the applicable Company / Business Unit/ Hub and Country standards, regulations, and guidelines.

  • Facilitates best practice sharing in consistency with controlling practices within the Hub.

  • Supports the development, staffing and direction of the APMEA Hub I&C controlling organization in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the Hub Finance management.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance or business administration.

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive financial controlling experience working in a manufacturing/project environment, minimum 5 years of management experience.

  • Previous experience of working with multi-cultural teams.

  • Previous experience with internal control.

  • Detailed oriented, with a “hands on” approach to work.

  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.

  • Strong communication skills are vital.

  • Executive presence and exceptional organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Excel, Power Point.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
