Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in West Palm Beach, FL!

This individual is responsible for retention and client relationship management. The Account Executive works in tandem with the producer to develop account strategy and increase longevity and profitability for the company; utilizes company resources to collectively deliver solutions to clients. Responsible for account management, direct sales and customer service support to the sales team using a variety of skills and knowledge of the insurance market, products and competition.  

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book where appropriate.

  • Renewal Management includes checking in with Account Managers 35 days prior to expiration for the status;

  • Cross sell book of business where appropriate including: auto, umbrella liability, excess flood, personal collections along with other policy enhancements (cyber/equipment breakdown, etc.)/recommendations.

  • Ensure proper resources from organization are involved with the customer and introduce new products through the other core business groups where appropriate.

  • Assist Producer and Marketer with the quoting and binding of new business; prepping applications as needed.

  • Engage with clients 45 days prior to renewal on exposure changes including cross sell as identified above. Prospect, develop, and gain new customers

  • Encourage and motivate team members to achieve or exceed agency standards; promote teamwork and commitment to department/agency goals.

  • Responsible for the renewal reviews on smaller accounts as defined by Producer, in place of Producer.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • 2-20 licensed preferred or required within 12 months of employment.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • High School or equivalent required.

  • College Degree preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

  • Familiar AMS 360 (agency management systems) or insurer websites preferred

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • 1 – 3 Years’ experience in the Industry Preferred.

  • Independent/self-starter with an acute attention to detail.

  • Professional appearance and customer service driven attitude.

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions.

  • Accuracy and speed are strong requirements.

  • Organized and reliable.

  • Prioritize and plan work activities.

  • Capable of handling difficult customers.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision

  • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
