Join our team at Waythrough and support people facing challenges around mental health, substance use, housing or domestic abuse. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.

About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to join the North Tyneside Recovery Partnership. This role is centred on supporting people to achieve and maintain long-term recovery through evidence-based psychosocial interventions and activities that promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing, helping individuals build confidence, resilience and the skills needed to make lasting positive change.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you'll work directly with people affected by drug and alcohol use, supporting them throughout every stage of their recovery journey. No two days are the same. You could be managing a caseload, completing comprehensive assessments, developing personalised recovery plans and deliver one-to-one keywork and group interventions that empower people to achieve their goals and move forward in recovery.

Alongside delivering the Recovery Academy programme, you'll provide flexible operational support across the Sustained Recovery Team. This includes covering staff absences, supporting caseloads across different locations, helping to reduce waiting times and ensuring people continue to receive timely, high-quality support.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, families and carers, you'll help create a positive, inclusive and recovery-focused environment where people feel empowered to build healthier lives and achieve sustainable recovery.

What you'll be doing

You'll:

  • Deliver the Recovery Academy pathways and interventions, ensuring programmes are engaging, evidence-based and person-centred.
  • Deliver a comprehensive psychosocial programme alongside activities that promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
  • Manage a caseload of service users, reviewing ongoing care plans and coordinating treatment throughout their recovery journey.
  • Complete assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families and partner agencies to support sustained recovery.
  • Promote an inclusive, therapeutic environment where participation, engagement and feedback are encouraged.
  • Provide operational support across NTRP services by covering absences, supporting caseloads and helping reduce waiting lists.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to high-quality service delivery.

About You

We're looking for someone who shares our values of Kindness, Courage and Respect and is passionate about helping people create positive change.

You'll be adaptable, organised and confident building relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. You'll enjoy working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team while also being able to manage your own workload effectively.

We're keen to hear from people with experience in health, social care, criminal justice or other sectors where transferable skills can make a real difference.
