The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development. The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator functions as an instructor, coordinator and clinical resource to the staff and various OR locations within Cooper Heath System. 

• Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines
• Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel
• Coordinates and instructs the Periop 101 Program at Cooper University Health Care

Cooper’s Voorhees and Moorestown Surgery Centers are hospital-run outpatient facilities that follow the same high clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. Both centers provide streamlined, patient-focused care, guiding patients from pre-admission screening and pre-operative preparation through anesthesia, surgery, recovery in PACU, and discharge home the same day. The centers offer a variety of specialties, including general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, interventional radiology, and other minimally invasive procedures. • Minimum of 3 years of OR experience; 1 year teaching preferred

• BSN Required; MSN preferred

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)

• Four 10-hour shifts
