About This Job
We are looking for a Performance QA Engineer / Performance Tester to help ensure our applications are stable, scalable, and responsive under expected and peak usage conditions. This role is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests across web, mobile, API, and backend systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with performance testing tools, understands system bottlenecks, and can work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to identify and resolve performance issues.- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests for web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
- Create and maintain reusable performance test scripts and test assets.
- Identify system bottlenecks, analyze performance results, and provide clear recommendations for improvement.
- Validate application response time, throughput, resource utilization, and stability under different load conditions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on performance risks, non-functional requirements, and test strategy.
- Monitor application and infrastructure behavior during test execution using logs, dashboards, and APM/monitoring tools.
- Prepare and share performance test reports with actionable insights, findings, and recommendations.
- Support release validation by performing performance testing for critical release candidates before production deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of performance testing frameworks, standards, and processes.
- Where applicable, integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in software testing with a focus on performance, load, or non-functional testing.
- Hands-on experience with at least one performance testing tool such as JMeter, LoadRunner, K6, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
- Experience designing test scenarios, scripting, parameterization, correlation, execution, and results analysis.
- Experience performing performance testing for web, mobile, and API/services.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and service-level performance validation.
- Experience using monitoring/APM/logging tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar.
- Good understanding of performance concepts such as response time, throughput, concurrency, latency, error rates, and resource utilization.
- Working knowledge of SQL and basic backend/data validation.
- Basic to intermediate scripting or programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud environments and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
- Exposure to containerized or microservices-based environments.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other high-transaction systems.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and performance engineering practices.
- Performance tests are created and executed for critical systems and release candidates.
- Performance bottlenecks are identified early and reported with sufficient analysis and reproduction detail.
- Test assets are reusable, maintainable, and aligned with business-critical workflows.
