Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has an interest growing their HR career with some experience with people operations, recruiting coordination, and providing direct technical and administrative support. In this role, you will work provide administrative support and will work closely with a talented People Ops, Recruiting and People Strategy & Development teams, reporting to Manager, People Ops, and be a part of the Human Resources organization.
Responsibilities:
Administrative tasks:
- Maintains up-to-date employment records and personnel files, including processing personnel actions accurately and timely, inputting employment information in the HRIS, and retrieving historical data as needed
- Coordinates the onboarding process, verifies I-9s, offboarding administration, and conducts background checks/investigations
- Manage People Team calendar and activities, including employee and manager training/events, internal team meetings and outings, employee calendar
Recruitment:
- Coordinate all logistics for interview scheduling, from the initial request to the final stages of the interview process
- Welcome candidates with professionalism and confidence, facilitate the onsite interview process and ensure an outstanding candidate experience
- Manage our intern program and experience, ensuring a seamless onboarding process and ongoing support for interns
- Assist with ATS reporting and analytics
Orientation:
- Leads employee orientation and organizes new hires events to improve employee experience
- Platform Administration: Supports performance management and engagement survey setup, launch, and reminders
Communication:
- Point of contact for employee questions including troubleshooting problems and providing training to employees on how to use HR systems
- Assist People Team projects on an as-needed basis
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 - 3 years experience in HR operations and knowledge of best practices
- Hands-on experience with HR software (HRIS, LMS, ATS)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and auditing skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience with Greenhouse, Paylocity, Culture Amp, and/or Bonusly
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Self-directed with a high sense of urgency while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
- Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:
$71,500—$86,100 USD
