We're seeking an experienced People Relations & Enablement Training & Development Manager to help leaders and teammates navigate complex workplace situations while strengthening organizational effectiveness and mitigating risk.
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, HR partners, and teammates across the enterprise, providing guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns. You'll play a critical role in developing leader capability, driving consistency in people practices, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.
About This OpportunityThis is an opportunity to influence culture and strengthen leadership practices across one of the nation's largest health systems. As a People Relations & Enablement Training & Development Manager, you'll partner with leaders, People & Culture teams, Legal, and HR stakeholders to address complex employee relations matters, improve processes, and ensure fair and consistent application of policies and programs.
You'll also mentor and coach team members, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and help enable leaders to effectively manage performance, workplace concerns, and team dynamics while reducing organizational risk.
What You'll Do- Serve as a trusted consultant to leaders and teammates on complex employee relations matters.
- Provide guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
- Partner with leaders to address sensitive situations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, and other employee relations issues.
- Collaborate with HR leaders and business partners to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and application of people practices.
- Coach and develop Team Member Relations Consultants while serving as a mentor and resource for the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and strengthen organizational outcomes.
- Partner with Legal and People & Culture teams to support responses to employment-related claims, agency charges, and other workplace matters.
- Advise leaders on corrective action and conflict resolution processes through successful resolution and follow-up.
- Support unemployment-related matters in partnership with HR Service Center teams.
- Promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace practices across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of employee relations experience.
- Deep knowledge of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Strong consultation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and coach leaders through complex and sensitive situations.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business needs and risk mitigation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting large, complex, multi-site organizations.
- Experience coaching leaders through challenging employee relations and performance management situations.
- Knowledge of employment law, regulatory requirements, and HR compliance practices.
- Experience collaborating with Legal, HR Business Partners, and organizational leaders on complex workplace matters.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives and developing team capabilities.
