Strategy Lead
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPPO), the Strategy Lead serves as a high-impact operational partner and strategic driver for the CPPO and the broader People & Places leadership team. Positioned at the center of strategy and execution, this role focuses on supporting the CPPO and broader organization in shaping, structuring, and executing our long-term People Strategy, leading complex cross-functional initiatives. This role would also support the CPPO in delivering critical executive and Board-level deliverables including creating materials.
If you are an ambitious, structured thinker with exceptional program management skills, a strategic and growth mindset, a bias for action, and willingness to roll up your sleeves then this role offers direct exposure to C-suite decision-making and organizational transformation.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with the CPO and People & Places leadership team to translate high-level vision into actionable multi-year roadmaps and operational plans for the People Strategy.
Support the CPPO in end-to-end preparation of strategic communications and governance deliverables, including Board of Directors presentations, Compensation Committee materials, executive leadership updates, and functional all-hands meetings.
Program/project manage complex, multi-faceted initiatives across the organization aligned to the People Strategy.
Develop clear project architecture—charters, milestone tracking, risk mitigation strategies, decision logs, and retrospectives.
Facilitate strategic alignment across key business partners, including Finance, Legal, Marketing, IT, Sales and Product & Engineering.
Execute discrete strategic research, competitive benchmarking, and process design initiatives to evaluate and solve complex organizational challenges.
Synthesize raw data, market trends, and organizational sentiment into concise, executive-ready memos and recommendations.
Act as an agile problem-solver, stepping in to lead high-priority, sometimes special and emerging projects as strategic needs evolve.
What You Will Need:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in strategic program management, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a business operations role.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)—with proven ability to create visually compelling, executive-ready presentations and financial/operational data models.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of framing complex ideas simply for executive audiences.
Superior organizational skills, sharp analytical thinking, and the ability to manage cross-functional priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High emotional intelligence, discretion, and executive presence when dealing with confidential and high-stakes matters.
Preferred
Advanced skills leveraging Claude or other generative AI platforms to streamline research, analysis, and strategic content creation.
Prior experience in management consulting, HR/People Strategy, or directly supporting a C-suite leader.
Professional familiarity with project governance tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet).
