As the People Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across CharterUP. You will be entrusted with creating, refining, and documenting scalable processes that empower our team to work more efficiently and effectively. This is a high-impact role that requires a process-driven, results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will need to own tasks end-to-end, regardless of their complexity, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

This role is ideal for an individual with a strong sense of ownership and an unwavering commitment to getting the job done—whether it’s refining enterprise-wide processes or managing day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

  • People Operations: 

    • Serve as the operational backbone of the People Operations team, building and ensuring seamless execution of HR processes—you’ll make us faster and more efficient.

    • Oversee the complete lifecycle of employee experiences, from onboarding logistics to empathetic offboarding, ensuring consistent excellence at every touchpoint.

    • Lead engaging New Hire Welcome sessions to seamlessly integrate new team members into CharterUP’s culture.

    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to optimize onboarding processes and ensure a smooth candidate-to-employee transition. 

    • Collaborate with Payroll for accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions, including communicating leave of absence (LOA) requests. Additionally, work with Payroll to maintain compliance with labor laws and regulations.

    • Champion Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) initiatives by creating communications that foster an inclusive and equitable work environment.

  • Compliance and Governance:

    • Stay ahead of evolving state and federal employment regulations, ensuring that CharterUP remains fully compliant at all times, with accurate reporting standards.

  • Data and Analytics: 

    • Maintain and optimize employee data management through Rippling, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations, while also managing contractor data outside of Rippling with timely updates for accurate reporting and alignment with company policies during onboarding and offboarding processes.

    • Take ownership of people analytics to lead QBRs with cross-functional leaders, transforming insights into actionable strategies that elevate team performance and drive organizational effectiveness.

    • Evaluate options and potentially implement new HRIS, ensuring it supports both People Operations and Talent Acquisition needs, and drives process efficiency and accuracy across the organization.

  • Benefits Administration: 

    • Partner with benefits administrators to ensure seamless benefits program management, continuously improving employee satisfaction and experience.

    • Handle internal inquiries from team members via our internal ticketing system, addressing questions related to benefits, leaves of absence, etc.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations within a high-growth startup. 

  • Process-driven, with a passion for creating efficiencies that drive the business forward.

  • Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, ensuring impactful outcomes and flawless execution.

  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and benefits administration, with the agility to learn quickly when encountering new challenges.

Compensation:

$80,000$100,000 USD
