About the roleWe’re looking for a People & Operations Associate to be the engine behind the engine — the go-to person who keeps our people, systems, and spaces humming. You’ll be the right (or left!) hand person partnering with our VP of People & Operations, Michael, and will touch nearly every part of the company: people ops, recruiting, IT, office management, finance, and exec support!
If you love variety, solving puzzles, and helping others do their best work, this role will feel like home. You’ll balance tactical precision with heart setting up a new laptop in the morning, planning a surprise celebration in the afternoon, and knocking out some accounts payable by the end of the day.

Support the evolution of our recruiting process by revamping our Ashby configuration and developing on-demand training content for hiring teams using NotebookLM
Help us evolve our talent brand by creating a portfolio of content for us to share people and culture news on company social channels like LinkedIn
💸 Executive and Finance Support (25%)
Provide ongoing exec support to Probably Genetic's founder and CEO, Lukas, accelerating his impact, ensuring he always shows up prepared and on time to key meetings around the world
Support expense tracking, invoices, and new vendor setup via Ramp
Support key inputs gathering for routine financial analysis that help us optimizing our spend
We are looking for a few specific things that will help you succeed in this role:
3+ years of experience, the most recent 1-2 years in operations, office management, or people roles — ideally in a startup or other fast-moving environment.
A proactive doer with a “no job too small” mindset and a deep love of learning.
Organized, detail-obsessed, and always one step ahead.
Tech-savvy — you move easily between Google Workspace, Zoom, Notion, Slack, and various AI tools.
A kind, thoughtful human who finds genuine joy in making things (and people) better
Some things that are not required, but you will learn on the job:
AI obsessed and are constantly looking at ways to balance human relationships with automation to power effectiveness and unlock more time for creativity

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$100,000 annually. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. This is an onsite role that requires 4 days in office in San Francisco.

Probably Genetic helps undiagnosed rare disease patients find answers to their symptoms in a matter of weeks.
There are over 400 million people worldwide that have a rare disease — more than cancer and HIV patients combined. Half of those patients are currently undiagnosed and half of them are children, and it takes 5-7 years on average for these patients to get a diagnosis. With our system, patients can get answers in a matter of weeks.
Our online Symptom Checker identifies rare disease patients using state-of-the-art machine learning models, gets them tested through our direct-to-consumer genetic testing service, and helps connect these patients to potentially life-saving treatments and advocacy communities. We partner with drug developers to offer sponsored testing programs that allow patients to access genetic testing for little to no cost.
