doola is seeking a dedicated and people-oriented professional to join our team as a People Operations Associate. This role is crucial for enhancing employee satisfaction, streamlining HR processes, and overseeing recruiting and interviewing activities as doola continues to grow. As a central figure in our HR department, you’ll directly contribute to fostering a supportive and efficient workplace environment. If you excel in a fast-paced setting, have strong interpersonal skills, and are passionate about developing workplace culture and building a talented team, this role is for you.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing HR-related queries with promptness and reliability.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, providing a warm welcome and detailed guidance about company policies and procedures.
  • Manage HR records, including personnel files and attendance data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the administration of benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and systems that improve workplace culture and employee experiences.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support HR projects, such as surveys, performance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Take ownership of the recruitment process, from job posting to managing interviews and participating in the selection process, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract high-quality candidates, including enhancing employer branding and optimizing job descriptions for visibility and appeal.

Who you are

  • You have 3+ years of experience in human resources, employee relations, recruiting and HR administration.
  • You are knowledgeable about U.S. labor laws and have experience with HR systems and databases.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with and supporting team members at all levels within the company.
  • You are a problem-solver with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • You thrive in a startup environment, adapting quickly to changes and proactively seeking ways to improve processes.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
