As a People Operations Specialist, you will collaborate closely with various teams across the organization to ensure a seamless and supportive employee experience. You will partner closely with the People Business Partner and Legal teams to resolve employee issues and enforce policies. You will work hand-in-hand with the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate smooth onboarding processes and support recruitment efforts. Additionally, you will liaise with the Finance team to help manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your role will also involve working with department managers and team leaders to address employee questions and drive engagement initiatives. By building strong relationships with these teams, you will play a crucial role in creating a cohesive and thriving workplace environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee People e-mail boxes and assist employees with People inquiries regarding process, policy and procedure
- Support the termination process including payroll and benefits coordination, employee record updates, and unemployment claims
- Facilitate domestic and international relocation-related mobility programs by managing all required documentation and coordination with third-party mobility vendors
- Manage employee data in AB’s HRIS system. Conduct routine data audits to ensure all employee records are accurate and up-to-date
- Retain confidential employee documentation including sensitive employee agreements such as employment offers and compensation letters
- Provide assistance for employment verification services for all U.S. employees
- Manage AB’s tuition assistance program, including processing employee requests, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with AB’s policies and procedures
- Assist with invoice processing for People Operations vendors
- Support AB’s leave management program, including responding to employee inquiries and coordinating with third-party leave administration vendors
- Coordinate with the Payroll team on special front-end activities, such as final paycheck notifications, vacation payout calculation, and repayment of employee bonuses in accordance with company policies
- Participate in special People projects and initiatives as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources Operations, Accounting or Administration
- Attention to detail, accuracy and proven organizational skills are critical to success in this role
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, maintaining spreadsheets, utilizing formulas, and analyzing data
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential employee matters with discretion
- Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate strong partnerships with internal clients / colleagues
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
- Self-starter, can work both independently and be highly collaborative
