Job Description:
MoCaFi is looking for a People and Talent Generalist to join our growing payments fintech HR team. The ideal candidate can balance owning the sourcing and recruiting process while building and implementing an engaging remote/hybrid work culture. From people operations and on/offboarding programs to handling HR compliance & benefits administration, this role is focused on creating a seamless and fun employee experience.
This role is hybrid to NYC and remote for anyone based throughout the US. It is preferred but not required to be based in the New York City area. The People and Talent Generalist will report directly to the Head of HR with a salary ranging from $65,000-85,000 based on experience and location.
Primary Responsibilities:
Generalist Duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for general HR-related employee questions
- Handle all onboarding activities, including pre-hire employee communication, background checks, payroll/performance/training data entry, and coordination of assets; ensure managers establish goals and new hires have their first week schedule
- Coordinate and hold employee exits, sharing trends and action plans with the Head of HR to proactively prevent regrettable attrition
- Ensure MoCaFi remains compliant with all required notices and State/Federal submissions via our PEO SequoiaOne
- Manage the bi-annual Employee Engagement Survey and Action plan; ensure actions are completed in a timely fashion
- Contribute to the MoCaFi People Agenda projects covering compensation philosophy, company culture, mission/vision/values, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning, and organizational design
- Manage bi-annual performance and compensation review process in collaboration with the Head of HR ensuring progress updates are shared; ensure measurable goals are being rolled out across the organization
- Establish a standard HR calendar for the year and communicate it broadly to the team
- Manage HR systems: Hibob, our HRIS, SequoiaOne our PEO, Greenhouse our ATS, BAI, our training platform, and Electric our IT service
- Manage IT requests that come through the Electric platform; utilize it for on and offboarding
- Support minor employee relations issues
- Create decks for monthly all-hands and any other meetings as needed
- Coordinate leadership meetings with the admin team
Talent Acquisition:
- Refine and manage the full-cycle recruiting process, ensuring a positive and seamless candidate experience
- Source passive candidates through referrals, networking, internet searches, etc., developing a candidate pipeline
- Hold kickoff/intake meetings and set hiring managers' expectations around the interview process lead time
- Be the market and talent expert for each posted role
- Develop recruitment advertising and employment branding strategies
- Ensure interview notes are captured and stored
- Coordinate all interviews and maintain communication with candidates and the internal hiring team
- Train interviewers on Greenhouse ATS utilization
Job Requirements & Skills:
- 3+ years of technical and/and non-technical recruiting experience across all levels required
- 2+ years of Associate HRBP or Generalist experience preferred
- Experience hiring all levels of technical candidates
- Comfortable managing 10+ requisitions
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and establish process
- Start-up experience and/or financial services experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills
- Able to create engaging PowerPoint presentations, a plus
- Experience with our HR Stack (Hibob, SequoiaOne, Greenhouse) and Google Suite
- Must be authorized and permanently based in the United States
