As a People Adviser, you will play a key role in supporting the HR function by providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the People Partner – Advisory Lead, you will provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
This opportunity has arisen due to an internal secondment, reflecting our commitment to fostering career growth and development opportunities for our people, therefore is available as an initial 12month contract.
This role will work across our West Perth and Joondalup offices.
What will you be doing?
Providing interpretation and advice to Leaders regarding HR policies, procedures and processes
Providing assistance to employees in relation to general HR enquiries
Reviewing and processing of people tasks through the HR system (Workday)
Assist with the resolution of employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
Manage employee data and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
Assist with the administration of HR programs and initiatives, such as performance management, training and development, and employee engagement.
Stay informed of changes to employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Collaborate with HR colleagues and other departments to support the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
What are we looking for in you?
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in an HR role, with a focus on employee relations and advisory services.
Proven ability to support and coach front line leaders through complex performance and conduct issues within a high-volume operational environment.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
