We are currently looking for a Pega Developer for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. The Pega Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications on the Pega platform, working closely with business analysts, developers, and solution architects to design and implement scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Pega applications within Agile SAFe teams.
- Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to ensure compliance with architecture, security, and development standards.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support automated deployments, and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Test, debug, and monitor application performance using Pega tools such as performance monitors, database traces, and logs/alerts.
- Ensure compliance with federal policies, privacy requirements, and Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Engage with stakeholders and clients to present solutions, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Integrate databases, legacy systems, and online services to streamline processes and deliver seamless solutions.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience with Pega PRPC v7.x+ (including Smart Claims & Healthcare Foundation).
- 3+ years of Java development experience.
- Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification required; Lead System Architect (LSA) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Pega architecture and PRPC implementation, including Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO), enterprise class structure, Ruleset design, REST/SOAP integrations, and development using Pega rules and features (Flows, Activities, UI, Agents, SLAs, Connectors).
- Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration tools, and Pega Deployment Manager.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in federal government environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile SAFe methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
