What You’ll Do

  • Provide primary healthcare services for children and young adults including physical exams, diagnosis, and plan of care
  • Deliver preventive visits including well-child checks, sports/school physicals, vaccinations, and screenings
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Evaluate growth and development and treat acute/chronic illness and developmental concerns
  • Prescribe/administer medications, vaccinations, and therapies; coordinate specialty referrals and minor procedures as needed
  • Educate parents/guardians and patients on prevention, hygiene, diet, activity, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate and consult with other providers; serve as a community resource
  • Maintain a clean, functional environment and follow CDC infection control guidance and OSHA guidelines

 

Qualifications

·       Education: MD or DO

  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted Arizona medical license as a Physician
  • Certification: Board Certified in Pediatrics or Board Eligible (Board Eligible must obtain certification within 1 year)
  • DEA: Current valid DEA registration and certificate

    • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
    • Outstanding organization skills and ability to multi-task
    • Initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility
    • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues to provide quality care
    • Friendly, welcoming, and professional public-facing demeanor
    • Commitment to culturally sensitive care
  • Technical Skills (preferred): Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with multicultural populations; specialized certifications as applicable
  • Compliance/Screening: Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain); clearance from APS Registry and Direct Service Central Registry
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
  • BLS: Basic Life Support trained or ability to be trained at time of hire
  • Health Requirements (upon hire, as applicable):
    • TB screening documentation (PPD, QuantiFERON, and/or chest x-ray as required)
    • Immunization documentation or titers/declination forms for: Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, COVID-19
  • Bilingual preferred: Spanish/English
