Job Posting Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Delivery Lead to play a critical role in establishing and scaling our Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in India for the PDT business. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our US-based delivery teams and the newly formed India teams, ensuring a smooth and successful transition of work and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
ICC PDT Circle Operations Setup:

  • Actively participate in the operational setup of the India team, including defining roles, responsibilities, and processes.
  • Collaborate with India-based teams to ensure they have the necessary resources, tools, and training to be successful.
  • Develop and implement best practices for knowledge transfer, communication, and collaboration between US and India teams.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the US, including business, product owners, engineers, and managers.
  • Effectively communicate project updates, roadmaps, and challenges to US stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks and issues that may impact project delivery.


Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives related to the transition of work to ICC PDT Circle.
  • Communicate the benefits of the model to US stakeholders and address any concerns or resistance to change.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure a smooth and seamless transition of work and knowledge.


Information Flow & Collaboration:

  • Facilitate the flow of information between US and India teams, ensuring that all teams have the necessary context, knowledge, and support to succeed.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and other collaborative activities between US and India teams.


Delivery Excellence:

  • Monitor and track project progress and identify areas for improvement in delivery processes and methodologies using concrete KPIs
  • Work with US and India teams to identify and implement solutions to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality standards and best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.


DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS:

  • ICC Delivery Leads will focus in one of three areas:
  • Forecasting, Pricing, and Analytics Transformation (FPAX)
  • Product Development & Operations - Engagement
  • Product Development & Operations - In-Center Services
  • For the FPAX area, leads should be knowledgeable in the AI/ML and/or Business Intelligence space. Leads should have experience delivering AI/ML assets and an expert knowledge in MLOPS.
  • For Product Development & Operations, leads should have experience in software delivery, with direct experience leading teams in product development following Agile and DevOps methodology.

  • Excellent decision-making capabilities, ability to make complex decisions that impact DD&T/PDT


Interaction

  • Ability to build strong partnerships and drive role clarity with other interfacing Takeda functions, including but not limited to Global DD&T
  • Effectively navigate the changing external and internal environment and leads others through change by creating and inspiring an engaging workplace
  • Communicate KPIs, project plans and results at the most senior levels of the Takeda organization
  • Demonstrated self-awareness to work in a highly cross functional global matrix


EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with offshoring in India; demonstrate sensitivity to and understand cultural differences, effectively manage and motivate a team from diverse backgrounds
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in data, digital and technology roles, with at least 5 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of delivering technology solutions for complex and large-scale projects
  • Strong knowledge and skills in data management, analytics, cloud computing, web development, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • A strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to anticipate and adapt to changing business and digital needs
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. International travel will be required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
149,100.00 - 234,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
