Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a PC Systems Specialist to support the Training Management Directorate at the US Army Combined Arms Center, located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Security clearance (preferred)
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

In this role, the PC Systems Specialist will support over 150 end-user devices, including MS Windows desktops and video/teleconference centers. The Specialist will provide comprehensive computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the smooth operation and use of computer hardware, software, and related peripherals. Additionally, the Specialist will offer individual and group training on various computer software topics and perform related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide help desk information and support.
  • Install, set up or relocate, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software.
  • Install and configure software upgrades; configure and perform tuning of operating systems to enhance PC performance.
  • Install and configure network interfaces and Internet connections; diagnose network cable and configuration problems.
  • Install and maintain specialized software, including performing setup functions, developing associated file structures, report formats, and input forms, ensuring file security, performing data entry to populate associated databases, and documenting procedures.
  • Implement and design an organization-wide set of standards for future and existing information systems.
  • Direct and lead multiple projects, including the planning, design, organization, and implementation while providing subject matter expertise and technical guidance. 
  • Support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
  • Report directly to Senior Leadership regarding ongoing projects and tasks.
  • Respond to user inquiries and requests and provide technical assistance on PC systems, related hardware and software, and standard applications
  • Coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR five (5+) years in a desktop support/PC Support role.
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
  • Have and maintain CE certificate in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop
  • Sharepoint-related site administration, optimization, and development experience.

Preferred:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
