The Pricing Manager plays a leading role in terms of product management by supporting delivery of the Company’s growth strategies through innovative product development, assumption setting, modelling, profit testing, ensuring integrity of the pricing model, meet pricing standards, and ensuring financial integrity within the distribution channel compensation. They are required to lead their team and support the Supervisor/Head of Pricing to deliver end to end product pricing inclusive implementation. The role holder is required to use his/ her actuarial knowledge and skills:
- To lead and provide insights on the development of robust pricing model & process with sound actuarial basis and consistency with company takaful model, shariah and profitability requirement.
- To drive and provide actuarial guidance & insights in developing innovative product with good risk management controls, price profitable and competitive product while ensuring strict adherence to pricing requirements set by Prudential Group and Bank Negara Malaysia.
- Provide leadership to the team and assist the Supervisor in meeting project objectives, managing deliverables across a variety of initiatives, including those that extend beyond conventional Pricing and Actuarial projects.
- To drive actuarial items and provide actuarial guidance & insights to product Provide actuarial expertise and insights to the product implementation committee, supporting timely and effective execution of product initiatives.
- To lead and provide insights in implementing cost-effective and efficient retakaful arrangements The incumbent is expected to consistently demonstrate and uphold the organization’s integrity and core values by adhering to the company’s code of conduct, established policies, and ethical best practices.

Skills Required
- Actuarial knowledge and skills
- Experience developing robust pricing models and profit testing
- Knowledge of takaful model and Shariah principles
- Familiarity with Prudential Group pricing standards and Bank Negara Malaysia regulations
- Experience implementing retakaful arrangements
- Leadership and team management experience, project delivery across pricing and actuarial initiatives
- Ability to provide actuarial guidance to product implementation committees
- Ensure financial integrity within distribution channel compensation
