We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor to join our team! This position is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the payroll department including serving as the first escalation point for clients, payroll specialists, payroll support positions, and other internal departments.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring the processing and delivery of client’s payroll is accurate and timely, supervising Payroll Specialists on a day-to-day basis to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and assisting the Payroll Support team with inquiries, client issues, requests, and training questions.

 

The Role. . .

  • Effectively resolve escalations and queries from team members and other internal departments.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and employees.
  • Highlight and escalate to Payroll Director matters which may affect department processes and needs including recommendations for improvement.
  • Prism experience desired.
  • Respond to direct client queries and take appropriate action.
  • Ensure payroll specialists adhere to all processing procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, and local legislation.
  • Assist with ensuring department coverage including planned and unplanned absences.
  • Support and promote the company culture and department wellbeing.
  • Serve as first level technical support for payroll software, electronic onboarding, and timekeeping systems.
  • Recruit, hire, train and coach team members.
  • Perform annual and periodic evaluations for assigned team members based on KPI results and company values.
  • Monitor and order payroll department supplies, delivery, and machinery needs.
