The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for all employees of the company. This includes calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, and issuing paychecks. The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records and filing payroll tax reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Verify hours submitted for each employee
- Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes for all employees
- Maintain payroll records
- Provide payroll tax reports and payment calculations
- Respond to employee questions and inquiries about payroll
- Consistently communicate with department managers/supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- 5 years of recent experience in payroll processing
- Proficiency in Paylocity software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
