Leidos’ Payroll Operations team is a dynamic Payroll Specialist to join out company. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of payroll for a population of around 40,000 employees in multiple entities. Setting up and managing payroll tax compliance in state and local jurisdictions, managing benefit withholdings, 401k processing, setting up garnishments, correcting payroll issues and monitoring employment wage and reporting rules. Partner with People Operations, Benefits and Accounting to ensure one-off employee changes are addressed.
What you will do
The payroll specialist will be responsible for processing day-to-day payroll functions in an efficient and timely manner under the supervision of Payroll Operation Manager. The payroll team handles complex union, federal contracting standards, ex-patriot and other special pay situations for US based employees on missions around the world.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsibilities and duties include the following, but not limited to:
- ·Calculate, compile and submit accurate information and adjustments into the payroll processing software for assigned employee groups.
- ·Calculate miscellaneous pay components in compliance with federal, state, and/or local policies and tax guidelines.
- ·Create, review, and audit manual checks.
- Prepare manual upload files used in the processing of payroll.
- Garnishment payroll entries and review
- Help to support employee receivables process
- Detect and resolve routine and complex payroll anomalies
- Prepare external reports to internal business partners and research GL matters
- Support help desk team by answering and resolving employee questions or requests.
- Support team with special payroll projects, tax adjustments, and complex research matters.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 3+ years' progressive payroll experience
- Experience with UltiPro Payroll and UKG Systems required
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel required
- Strong attention to detail
- Deadline Oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Costpoint Payroll
- Deltek T&E Systems

Pay Range:Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00
