PURPOSE

This specialist position is responsible for delivering payroll processes with exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and transactional accuracy.

ESSENTAIL FUNCTIONS

  • Accurate and timely processing of F&D payroll, payroll corrections, and reporting.

  • Coordinates payroll service and submissions for compliance/regulatory items.

  • Submits and maintains the necessary payroll reports related to payroll corrections, record keeping, employee cumulative data, and pay detail.

  • Processes wage actions and other federal, state, and local payroll administration timely and accurately. Completes vendor invoicing, auditing, and payment.

  • Provides exceptional customer service to associates company wide.

  • Responds to payroll inquiries (internal and external) within 1 business day (other accelerated turnaround times may arise for priority matters).

  • Orders and distributes payroll materials for store openings, store refreshers, on event, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Perform mathematical computations and tabulate figures with speed and accuracy.

  • Proofread work and identify errors. Attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization.

  • Collaborative and communicative team player

  • Ability to expand responsibilities to accommodate organization growth.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree or equivalent from college or technical school, or one or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of payroll experience required.

  • Experience with Workday preferred.

  • Mathematical skills.

  • Understanding of payroll calculations and payroll tax laws.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Teams and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.


WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.


PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
