About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll Operations team, supporting the EU Region with a dedicated focus on UK payroll. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing, while acting as the primary subject matter expert for their assigned jurisdictions. This role operates within a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional environment and requires a high standard of accuracy, regulatory awareness, and stakeholder communication.

Job Specification:

EU Region

The main responsibilities of the position will include (but is not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Consistently deliver highly accurate and complaint payroll processing for the EU region
  • Administer employee personal and payroll data through the full employee lifecycle within the payroll vendor platforms, always ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Execute procedural controls in strict accordance with the processing quality and framework, maintaining compliance with internal standards and business requirements
  • Perform validation and reconciliation of payroll processing reports, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of compensation to all employees
  • Act as the first point of contact and subject matter expert for payroll enquiries from employees, responding efficiently and within agreed SLAs
  • Liaise with finance team to ensure accurate and timely recognition of payroll costs within the financial accounts
  • Create, review and update payroll procedure documentation, ensuring ingoing alignment with country legislation, regulatory requirements and corporate policy changes.
  • Proactively monitor legislative and regulatory changes across applicable jurisdictions and communicate relevant updates to the team

Skills Required

  • Minimum 1–3 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience, with demonstrable expertise in EU payroll
  • Knowledge of UK legislation, National Insurance contributions, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), and HMRC reporting obligations
  • Experience working with payroll vendor platforms
  • Proficiency in payroll data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage employee and stakeholder enquiries professionally and within SLA
  • Experience creating and maintaining payroll SOPs and process documentation
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislative changes independently
