Manage end-to-end Dutch payroll ensuring compliant, accurate, on-time monthly processing. Coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders, maintain payroll data in Workday, support month/year closings and audits, reconcile payroll, mentor junior colleagues, and drive process improvements and automation.

Tasks
* Own the end-to-end payroll process for the Netherlands, ensuring compliant, accurate, on-time monthly processing (incl. CAO context).
* Coordinate with external payroll partners and internal stakeholders (People Ops, Finance) to resolve payroll cases quickly and thoroughly.
* Manage key inputs: time data, contracts, absences, variable pay, and payroll changes—keeping documentation audit-ready.
* Support monthly and annual closings, reconciliations, and audits (tax/social security), ensuring smooth financial handovers.
* Keep employee and payroll data clean and reliable in Workday, improving data quality and controls.
* Support Junior colleagues, helping them grow and raising the team’s overall quality bar.
* Identify and implement process improvements (automation, templates, checks) to reduce errors and cycle time.
Nice to have
* Workday experience or strong HRIS/payroll system proficiency.
* Experience improving payroll processes (controls, documentation, automation).
* Employer of Record (EoR) exposure and/or multi-country payroll coordination.
Requirements
* 3+ years hands-on payroll experience (NL payroll essential) in an in-house, outsourced, or mixed model.
* Strong knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation and practical experience working with collective labour agreements (CAO).
* High attention to detail, structured working style, and a clear ownership mindset.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; comfortable with data checks/reconciliations).
* Fluent English (Dutch or German is a plus).
* Willingness to work hybrid
