The Role

We are looking for an International Payroll Specialist!

This is a one-year fixed term contract.

Join our dedicated international team, where you'll primarily handle payroll responsibilities for several payroll entities in Europe and South Africa.

This includes preparation of the monthly payroll reports, coordination, and audit of the payroll, outputs with the support of our external Payroll Providers, preparation of journals, and ad-hoc reports, and making sure that we process payments in a timely and accurate manner.

Attention to detail, prioritization skills in a dynamic environment, and a drive for enhancing processes are keys to success in this role. Our key stakeholders are across Finance, HR, People Operations, Audit, and Compliance teams. Our Corporate functions partner closely with business leaders – and with each other - to create and support the strategic roadmap. Collaboration is key where the ability to think creatively, build strong working relationships across geographies and functions, and problem solving will contribute to your success and the success of our business.

This position is Hybrid, in Europe

In This Role

• You will be responsible for the processing, auditing, and reconciliation of payrolls, assuring their accuracy, compliance, and timelines

• You manage relationships with various stakeholders and payroll providers with a focus on the accuracy and timely receipt of payroll reports

• You coordinate payroll approvals & payment instructions with the Finance team

• You prepare monthly payroll GL journal, accrual reports, and month-end closing reporting activities

• You ensure compliance with statutory regulations, collective labor agreements, and company policies

• You attend to payroll-specific queries from employees

• You support various internal and external audits

• You provide payroll feedback and data when required to support ongoing HR projects.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

• You have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working in an international

payroll/accounting environment

• You have knowledge and experience processing International payroll for Europe and understanding of payroll regulations, compliance, and tax laws

• You have worked with an outsourced payroll provider (ADP SPM knowledge is a plus)

• You have experience managing internal and external stakeholders including local payroll providers

• You can work independently, and accurately, and meet tight deadlines

• You have excellent communication skills in English

• You can take ownership of payroll processes

• You have proficiency in Excel Microsoft Office (we use excel on 95% of our payroll tasks-> Xlookup, Vlookup, Pivot Table, Macro, etc.)

• You can effectively manage shifting priorities and overcome various challenges

• You have the willingness to learn and take and receive feedback constructively

• You have high ethical standards and a positive attitude.
