Responsibility Statements
    Administer end-to-end payroll processing for regular, bi-weekly, monthly, special, and off-cycle payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client, contractual, and statutory requirements.
•    Maintain and process employee payroll data for new hires, terminations, personnel changes, employee time, earnings, deductions, taxes, savings, and other payroll-related transactions.
•    Process payroll exceptions and adjustments, including overpayments, balance adjustments, W-2C corrections, manual checks, and other payroll corrections.
•    Validate, audit, and reconcile payroll data received from internal systems and third-party vendors, ensuring data integrity and timely resolution of discrepancies.
•    Conduct peer-check audits and quality reviews of payroll and data files submitted to third-party vendors, identifying and correcting errors prior to processing.
•    Analyze payroll tax information, including multi-state payroll tax data where applicable, and perform calculations and balance adjustments to support accurate payroll and statutory reporting.
•    Reconcile payroll processes, general ledger accounts, third-party files, banking files, reports, and supporting documentation, investigating variances and making appropriate corrections to ensure payroll meets established guidelines.
•    Prepare, validate, and submit final payroll reports, banking files, and third-party reports, including uploading payroll files to designated payroll systems and repositories.
•    Manage Tier 2 payroll inquiries, cases, and correspondence from employees and clients, providing timely and accurate resolution within established Service Level Agreements and escalating complex matters when necessary.
•    Complete required payroll activities, including wage verifications, subpoenas, overpayment correspondence, employee separation and End of Service documentation, and other payroll-related transactions.
•    Maintain accurate payroll records, reports, logs, trackers, and audit documentation, ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
•    Investigate payroll discrepancies and processing issues, analyze root causes, identify appropriate solutions, and implement corrective actions using sound technical knowledge and judgment.
•    Collaborate effectively with clients, employees, internal payroll teams, HR, Finance, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and support seamless payroll delivery.
•    Provide training, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and operational support to team members, including workload coverage during periods of increased demand or absence.
•    Participate in special projects, system enhancements, process improvements, and other initiatives that support operational efficiency and service quality.
•    Maintain current knowledge of payroll processes, systems, client requirements, statutory obligations, and company policies, adapting effectively to changes in processes and business requirements.
•    Demonstrate ownership, accountability, initiative, and a commitment to quality, proactively addressing issues and completing required activities without waiting for direction.
 

Qualifications & Experience
•    First Degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
•    Two (2) years of payroll or accounting experience is preferred but not required.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
•    Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
•    Adaptable to changing processes, priorities, and business requirements.
•    Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and sound judgment.
