Who are we?Right across the Pipera metro station, the Samsung Shared Services Centre Europe, established in 2016 in Bucharest (Romania) covers Financial, Customer Service and HR processes for Samsung subsidiaries across Europe.
Role Summary
Collaborate with regional HR, Finance, and external payroll vendor to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Ensure timely payment of employee salaries and taxes across EMEA countries, resolving issues affecting payroll processes.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:
• Work closely with regional HR, Country HR, Finance and external Payroll Vendor to ensure correctness of data, as well as with internal and external auditors, when needed
• Review Payroll processes, procedures, making changes while ensuring adequate controls are in place and followed
• Ensure that all procedures are thoroughly documented and include proper checklists to ensure all essential process steps are followed
• Recommend improvements to the Payroll process, as well as standardization of current Payroll definitions across Europe.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
• Monthly identification of labour cost reporting gap between HR and Finance system and report it in a standardised format
Skills and Qualifications
Candidate Profile:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator, Specialist, or Analyst across multiple EMEA countries, managing end-to-end cycles
Hands-on experience with payroll and HR software, including global payroll systems.
Strong problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in English and Romanian.
Nice to Have:
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Experience with specific HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
