The Akron ATLAS location seeks a Payroll Onboarding Specialist to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a family of firms across multiple states with much room for advancement.

OBJECTIVE/FUNCTION:

The Payroll Onboarding Specialist will work under the supervision of our Compensation Manager and will be responsible for guiding new clients through a seamless onboarding experience.  Client contact will begin once the agreement is signed and will continue through the account setup process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and accurately entered into our systems.  This role is essential for maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Initiate and maintain communication with new clients throughout the implementation phase.
  • Assist new customers in navigating the documents required to set up their payroll account. 
  • Ensure all required client documentation is collected, reviewed, and accurately entered. 
  • Work to set customer requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work within and contributes to the team environment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence and professionalism on the phone.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Computer experience and proficiency - MS Office and other business programs.
  • High level of trust and integrity.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize projects and customer needs. 
  • Displays professionalism in demeanor, language, and appearance.
  • Will to work with and adhere to performance goals.
  • Patience, flexibility, and the ability to manage stress.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in a customer-focused environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Required to occasionally lift, hold, or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Individuals must perform the principal duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
