We're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Payroll Officer to take ownership of payroll operations across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland and the Netherlands. What You'll Be Responsible ForYou'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll activities for multiple European entities, ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and on schedule. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing payroll processing across the UK, ROI, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
- Coordinating joiners, leavers, salary changes, deductions, pensions and benefits updates.
- Ensuring payroll data is accurate across HR, payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Resolving payroll queries and discrepancies with speed and professionalism.
- Preparing payroll submissions, approvals and statutory reporting requirements.
- Supporting month-end payroll analysis alongside Finance.
- Partnering with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Contributing to payroll process improvements, standardisation initiatives and global payroll best practices.
- Producing payroll reporting, metrics and management information to support business decision-making.

We're looking for someone who combines payroll expertise with a customer-focused mindset.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 2 years' payroll experience, preferably within an in-house environment.
- Experience supporting both UK and European payrolls.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, pensions and payroll compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel capability, including functions such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and related analysis tools.
- Experience working within an international or multi-country organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- High levels of discretion when handling confidential employee information.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Skills Required
- At least 2 years payroll experience
