Why This Role Is Exciting:
As a Payroll Manager, you'll be a vital part of a high-performing team, building a world-class payroll organization. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytically skilled, and committed to improving and simplifying processes. This hands-on role offers significant opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee bi-weekly multi-state payroll for US exempt and nonexempt employees
- Oversee the successful execution of international payroll
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations
- Develop and maintain payroll processes and systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Drive process improvement projects to streamline and automate workflows
- Evaluate systems and tools to support organizational scaling
- Manage payroll-related projects, including year-end preparation and payroll tax issue resolution
- Partner with HRIS and external service providers (e.g., 401(k), Benefits)
- Collaborate with internal partners to deliver an exceptional onboarding and payroll experience
- Manage ad-hoc deliverables to support cross-functional teams (i.e. FP&A, Tax) and audits
- Conduct root-cause analysis on payroll issues and drive resolutions
Required Attributes for a Successful Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience and strong accounting skills
- Proficient in Excel and Google products
- Demonstrated experience navigating and strong knowledge of labor and payroll tax laws and regulations
- Familiarity with long-term incentive programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with all employee levels
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ie; Workday, Paylocity, ADP, Ceridian etc.)
- Experience managing international payrolls
Preference will be given to candidates who hold:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
