Job Description:
The Payroll Coordinator is an integral part of the HR team and will work on processing all payroll-related functions of the company. This includes processing payroll, taxation forms and benefits, and handling payroll questions as well as assisting HR with any benefit inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Review and enter/import employee timecards into the payroll system.
- Review payroll documentation for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments.
- Obtain required approvals for all payroll transactions from site directors or executive staff.
- Communicate and work along with the Human Resources Department
- Research and resolve questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information including PTO, banking, garnishments, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes.
- Process payroll on schedule for multiple entities across different states
- Assist finance department to prepare and record monthly payroll, PTO, and bonus accruals.
- Review and ensure accuracy of all yearend statements including but not limited to 941, 940, state forms and W2 statements.
- Prepare ad hoc financial and analytical reports to provide data to management team.
- Participate as project manager or team member on various projects as needed by the company.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education and experience
- Knowledge of current compensation rules and tax regulations such as Federal, FICA, State and Local withholding rules associated with the enforcement and establishment of employee wage garnishment is required.
- State payroll rules and guidelines preferred.
- 401K rules/regulations
- Minimum three-five years of payroll work experience including multi-site/state payroll processing.
- Strong financial & analytical acumen
- Bachelor’s degree required; FPC or CPP Certification desired.
- Experience/Strong Knowledge with Paycom or other similar payroll software
- Strong Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Suite
