The FLS People Experience & Technology organisation is formed to support all the HR processes in the employee life cycle and services to our employees globally. As India Payroll Statutory Reporting and Compliance Manager we will count on you to manage and develop the deliveries of all local task regarding Employee Provident Funds, Gratuity payments, Gratuity Policies, Professional tax, Employee State insurance, Labor Welfare Fund, Payroll Statutory Audits, Receipt and reports, manage the relationship with local authorities, advisors and vendors, as well as any other relevant tasks within the People Experience team, that needs to happen onsite in Chennai or requires your experience to manage.

You will engage, connect and closely collaborate with colleagues in the People and Experience area as well as FLS IT and external vendors. Your role is to ensure, we have a highly qualified and professional focus on compliance and follow local legislation.
 

Your responsibilities

  • Strong People and negotiation skills and experience with working in a Shared Services team
  • Advanced Mastery of Payroll and Statutory compliance operations for India: Showcase an extensive comprehension and proficiency in Payroll and Pension operations, providing expert guidance on enhancements and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborative Integration Across multiple stakeholders: Seamlessly collaborate across various internal and external stakeholders and preferably with experience from integrating smoothly with our HR processes and Workday, which is our HR core system
  • Prioritize defaulting HR master data elements throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including hires and job changes to ensure data is kept for all relevant purposes
  • Knowledge in managing the employee life cycle processes in a way where we can engage leaders and employee to get as much insight at ability to manage data.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvement initiatives to improve the employee experience, reduce risk and costs, and improve compliance and controls
  • Troubleshoot issues and questions reported by the business.
  • Provide training to new HR business partners and internal HR team members as needed.
  • Keenly look for automations and ways to reduce manual work

What you bring
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Payroll and Statutory Reporting and Compliance
  • Strong knowledge of how to work with local offices in Chennai
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Strong English skills, both technical and professional
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
