Payment Processor
Location - Pune
Shift Timing - 12am midnight/ 4:30am IST
The Payments Processor is responsible for executing operational processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services in line with business requirements, quality standards, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role includes processing transactions, resolving queries, and supporting end-to-end workflows while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and client experience.
Key Responsibilities: -
Operations & Processing
- Process transactions (e.g., payments, reconciliations, data updates) in line with procedures and deadlines.
- Review and validate information from internal and external parties to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and manage work queues, inboxes, and intake channels to meet SLA commitments.
- Follow established procedures and controls to ensure consistent and reliable processing.
Investigations, Quality & Improvement
- Investigate transaction issues, discrepancies, and exceptions, ensuring timely resolution.
- Resolve queries through internal systems or communication channels, escalating when necessary.
- Perform regular checks to ensure accuracy and identify any processing gaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
- Support implementation of process updates and improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
- Liaise with stakeholders and partners to support transaction processing and investigations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats.
- Provide updates on progress, issues, and risks where required.
Learning & Development
- Build knowledge of operational processes, systems, and tools.
- Adapt to new processes, systems, and business requirements.
- Participate in training and development activities.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- Experience in operations, processing, or shared services is an advantage.
- Knowledge of currency requirements, payment formatting and banking payment networks such as SWIFT, local clearing systems is considered a strong advantage.
- Bank account and customer account balance reconciliation experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of compliance operations or related fields with the experience in payments, screenings, sanctions, or AML preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Tools & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with operational and case management systems is an advantage.
