The Payments Partnerships Manager is responsible for supporting the VP of Payments to drive growth by nurturing key payment partnerships and onboarding new providers aligned with our strategic goals. This role is the bridge between internal teams (Product, Compliance, Finance) and external partners, ensuring smooth operations and innovation in payment solutions. This role will ensure we are equipped to manage situations when a payment cannot be completed. 

 Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing payment / finance providers (e.g., banks, processors, gateways, verification & fraud prevention services, etc).  
• Conduct regular check-ins to monitor performance, resolve issues, and identify growth opportunities.  
• Analyse fees, transaction data and feedback to improve partner performance and user experience.
• Identify and evaluate new payment partners that align with business & payments strategy (e.g., alternative payment methods, regional providers).  
• Conduct end-to-end onboarding: negotiations, contract finalisation, compliance checks, and integration with internal teams. 
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align payment solutions with platform features.  
• Provide insights to Finance on cost optimisation and revenue opportunities.

What you will bring to the role:

• 6+ years experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of online payments.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and manage complex partnerships.  
• Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Salesforce, or similar project management tools.  
• Strong organisational skills with expertise in digital record-keeping.  
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of global payment systems, compliance, and gaming industry trends.  
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork.  
• Self-motivated, a team player and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
