Job Description

We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can look beyond individual procedures to architect the entire ecosystem to join us in our Payment Operations team in Tallinn.

As a Payment Operations Process Manager, you will act as a Strategic Process Architect in Payment Operations. You own the high-level Process Inventory and the overall governance strategy, ensuring that our operational framework is not just compliant, but a competitive advantage. You partner with Product, Engineering, and Senior Leadership to drive large-scale transformation and automation and define the “what” and “why” of our operational architecture. This role is for you if you want to move from fixing processes to architecting operations.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the Strategic Architecture: Own the high-level Process Inventory and define the overall "What We Do" architecture, ensuring it aligns with business goals.
  • Set the Global Standard: Define and maintain the Process Governance Framework, ensuring system integrity and standardization across all functions.
  • Drive Automation & Product Alignment: Act as a  consultant for Product & Engineering, ensuring that new tooling aligns with process design and driving the roadmap for automation.
  • Lead Large-Scale Transformation: Lead high-complexity "Re-imagine" projects—total process overhauls that solve systemic inefficiencies and visibility gaps.
  • Define Success & Metrics: Establish high-level success metrics (Efficiency, Risk Reduction, Resilience) and build dashboards to monitor Process Governance health.
  • Influence at the Top: Partner with Senior Leadership and Risk & Controls to negotiate governance standards, risk appetite, and strategic priorities.
  • Elevate the Team: Mentor Process Analysts and functional teams, fostering a culture of "Architects over Custodians" and leading the shift toward engineering-led operations.

Qualifications

  • You are placed in Estonia, and have a right to work here (we won't be able to support with relocation nor visa for this role).
  • You bring proven strategic experience. You have 4+ years of experience in Process Architecture, Operations Strategy, or Business Process Management (BPM). Experience driving change in a complex, regulated environment (such as FinTech or Banking) is a significant advantage.
  • You are a strategic architect. You don't just see a checklist; you see a system. You have mastery of end-to-end process architecture, designing customer journey maps and internal hierarchies that integrate seamlessly with product logic to manage how changes ripple across the organization.
  • You lead through influence. You possess stakeholder management skills and can negotiate effectively with senior leaders. You can sit in a room with Product Managers, Engineers, and Heads of Risk and persuasively argue for the right architectural decision.
  • You have an automation-first mindset. You are forward-thinking about AI and relentlessly seek opportunities to remove manual work. You view human process as a fallback, not the default, and actively identify where technology can be leveraged to boost operational efficiency.
  • You are a data strategist. You don't just track data; you define the KPIs that matter. You are proficient in data analytics (with strong desires for SQL and visualization tools like Looker or Tableau) and use data to tell a strategic story that drives investment and change.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and execution. You are a resilient problem solver who knows how to break down broken, complex systems and rebuild them better. You have a proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional "Re-imagine" initiatives from conception to full rollout.
  • You are certified in excellence. You ideally hold a Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or an equivalent advanced process improvement certification (Strong Advantage).

Why Join Us?

  • Be the Architect: You won't just follow the roadmap; you will write it. You will decide how our operations scale.
  • Drive the Revolution: We are moving from a support function to a strategic engineering partner. You will be at the forefront of this shift, defining what "Operational Excellence" looks like.
  • High-Stakes Impact: Your work will directly impact our efficiency, our risk profile, and our customer experience. This is a high-visibility role with high impact.
  • Master Your Craft: You will tackle the most interesting problems in the organisation, blending operations, product, and compliance into a seamless machine.

Ready to architect the future of operations? Apply by submitting your CV latest by 25th of January 2026.
