BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Configuration or Data Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation payloads solutions for the nation's Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).

Tell me about this job.
This project manager will be responsible for the following configuration management (CM) and data management (DM) duties:
  • Serve to integrate Configuration and Data management for a portfolio of payloads programs, engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined CM/DM processes for the program
  • Collaborate across all functions within the payloads portfolio to incorporate CM/DM concepts, techniques, and requirements
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the programs and represent CM/DM in working groups or control boards
  • Identify and mitigate CM/DM risks
  • Provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the programs' objectives
  • Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes within the programs
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring metrics and for intervention and problem solving within the team, management, and government customers
  • Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts
  • Participate in process improvements initiatives and implements more effective procedures
  • Develop, build and maintain integrated workspaces and databases that ensure management of change control and version discipline

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 7 years of experience with configuration management (CM) or data management (DM).
  • Experience in understanding, creating, and managing sound processes.
  • Have a Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret and Special Access Program (SAP). The criteria for granting clearance is set by the US Government.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors degree (M.S.) degree in project management, data management, or configuration management.
  • Current Secret Clearance or higher, with Special Access Program (SAP).
  • Knowledge of Air Force Operations.
  • CMPIC - config management process improvement center certification.
  • Experience as CM or DM within a large government program office.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Skills Required

  • 7 years of experience with configuration management (CM) or data management (DM).
