Role Purpose
Carries out patrolling of pipeline routes through the desert, mountains, towns and roadways and reporting encroachments or any unauthorized or hazardous work performed on or near pipeline right of way.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Activities
1. Pipeline Patrolling
- Check pipeline route through the desert, mountains, towns and roadways and reporting encroachments or any unauthorised or hazardous work performed on or near pipeline right of way, for necessary action by the supervisor.
- Report and records any activities or incidents that have taken place on pipeline routes and fills in the pipeline weekly patrolling programme report. He is authorised to stop third party work if instructed by his supervisor in the event that infringement on to Emarat Equipment/pipeline could occur.
- Conduct site visits with third party contractors to gather information of site activities and report findings to the engineer/supervisor.
2. Transportation
- Daily drives a light vehicle for routine patrolling activities along the pipeline route.
- Drives truck with crane for lifting valves, pipes, cable drums, concrete blocks and various materials to and from stores or within station and other areas as assigned.
3. Pipeline Maintenance
- Excavate and backfill pipeline, valves, communication cable, etc.
- Inspect pipe coatings for holidays and cracks using a holiday detector.
- Perform coating rehabilitation of carbon steel pipelines, including surface preparation, cleaning, and wrapping.
4. Health & Safety
- Maintain safe work processes, operating procedures and guidelines to ensure process safety, operational safety and pipeline integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
- Basic knowledge in Mechanical jobs.
Education
- Completion of School Education (12 years).
Experience
- A minimum of 2-year experience in pipeline industry and pipeline maintenance or operations.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Distribution Industry preferred
- A minimum of 2-year experience in civil works, such as excavation, and concrete works
Competencies
- Able to speak and write in English.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- Off-road (Desert & Mountain) driving skills.
- Valid Heavy goods vehicle driving licence. (Preferred)

Skills Required
- Completion of 12 years of school education
- At least 2 years of experience in the pipeline industry, pipeline maintenance, or pipeline operations
- At least 2 years of experience in civil works, including excavation and concrete works
- Basic knowledge of mechanical work
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Valid UAE driving licence
- Off-road desert and mountain driving skills
- Experience in the oil and gas distribution industry
- Valid heavy goods vehicle driving licence
