The Senior Research Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for supporting a successful process transfer to a second resin manufacturing site. The successful candidate will have ownership of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) development which both require to perform chemistry lab work as well as have a solid background in spectroscopic techniques. The role also implies a good level of communication with cross functional teams and with customers

This position is part of the Manufacturing Science and Technology department located in Uppsala and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Supervise, plan, execute and document project work to reach given objectives
• Be responsible for technology leadership in the assigned field including contribute in trouble shooting activities, developing PAT methods in lab scale to be transferred to large scale.
• Coordinate different activities in cross functional teams

Who you are:

• Good competencies with the use of and application of spectroscopic methods such as Raman, NIR, UV-Vis or other measurement techniques that are suitable for in-line/at-line measurements.
• MSc or equal experience in chemical engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years experience of industrial development/R&D
• Experience from laboratory work
• Experience from method development
• Experience in working with spectroscopic techniques
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Ability to travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience of work with synthesis and analytical lab work
• Experience of working in cross functional teams
• Delivery focus
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
