Job Summary**
The Party Chief will lead and manage a survey crew, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of surveying projects for Primoris Energy Services in Haskell, TX. This role involves direct supervision of field operations and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead, supervise, and train survey crew members on various surveying techniques and equipment operation.
* Perform and oversee land surveying activities including topographic surveys, construction staking, boundary surveys, and as-built surveys.
* Operate and maintain a variety of surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
* Ensure the accuracy and quality of all collected survey data.
* Interpret and implement project plans, specifications, and design drawings.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare and maintain detailed field notes, sketches, and digital data.
* Perform calculations and checks to verify the accuracy of survey measurements.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and promote a safe working environment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered in the field.
* Manage equipment inventory and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a Party Chief or supervisory role.
* Proficiency in operating survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
* Strong understanding of surveying principles, practices, and calculations.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior survey crew members.
* Proficiency with surveying software and data processing tools.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and traverse rugged terrain.
* Commitment to safety and adherence to all company and regulatory safety guidelines.
* Experience in the energy services sector (oil & gas, pipelines) is a plus.
* Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification is a plus.
