About the Role

The Partnerships Success Lead is the steward of Turaco’s partnerships in Tanzania, responsible for nurturing relationships, ensuring operational speed, process integrity, and exceptional partner communications, and making sure every partner experiences exceptional value from our collaboration.

This role is for someone who thrives on building trust, solving problems, and creating win-win outcomes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Partner Relationship Management

  • Build deep, trusted relationships with partners at all levels, from senior executives to branch and field staff.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Turaco and partners, ensuring smooth communication, transparency, and consistent engagement.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, field visits, and partnership performance reviews to strengthen collaboration and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Understand each partner’s business model, customer base, and priorities, using insights to co-create solutions that drive value.
  • Coordinate and execute successful partnership launches and ongoing product rollouts, ensuring alignment in cross-functional teams
  • Address and escalate partner challenges swiftly while ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with internal teams.

Country Operations

  • The main point of contact for our partners, underwriters, regulators, and industry groups.
  • Lead market intelligence in the country, keeping the whole division informed on new entrants, competition, legislation changes, and compliance hurdles. 
  • Ensuring all partners are invoiced on time and payment is made on time, and delays are carefully managed. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience with organizations like Off-Grid Asset Finance companies, Micro-Finance Institutions (MFIs), tech-forward insurance companies, or high-growth asset finance startups. 
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Deep operational familiarity with financial inclusion, microfinance, agricultural networks, or mass-market fintech platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage C-suite executives and frontline teams alike.
  • Strong analytical and presentation ability, comfortable with data-driven storytelling.
  • Highly collaborative, empathetic, and comfortable working across diverse teams and market environments.

You are the right person for this role if; 

  • You have held a similar role at the country level and worked closely with a central team to support account management. 
  • Possess and understanding of the MFI and financial inclusion models, mobile money ecosystems, and asset financing in Tanzania

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrate three to five years of experience in B2B or Partnerships Management, especially within financial services.
  • Possess a track record in process-driven operational control and account management roles.
  • A highly collaborative team leader who can champion culture, has strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire. 
  • Communicate and present effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Skills Required
