We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

Our team is looking for a passionate and experienced marketing leader with a drive to build game-changing partnerships. Being a valuable part of the partnerships marketing team, you won't just manage collaborations – you'll create them. Partnership marketing is one of the most important areas of driving business success for PayPal accelerating the connections between consumers and merchants in the most inspiring ways. The role focuses on developing and executing outstanding co-marketing campaigns and merchant programs with external partners/merchants, driving measurable ROI for both sides. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can create innovative campaign concepts, negotiate and collaborate effectively with partners, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver at high quality. You should bring proven experience in partnership or co-marketing, strong ROI orientation, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage partnership marketing strategies to drive business growth and engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, including regional system integrators, digital agencies, and consultants
  • Audit the existing developer program experience and identify areas for improvement
  • Design, build, and deploy strategic marketing communications to support the developer lifecycle
  • Take ownership of developer-focused platforms, enhancing architecture, content, and SEO
  • Plan and execute lead generation campaigns and lifecycle communications for developers
  • Manage Developer Meetup events, including invitations, logistics, and execution
  • Collaborate with partners to create joint go-to-market strategies and co-marketing initiatives
  • Create marketing toolkit content to help developers promote solutions on their own channels
  • Work closely with data and analytics teams to track performance and optimize strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Lead with Passion and Collaboration: You'll work hand-in-hand with our incredible internal teams – US and DEATCH marketing, sales, product, legal – to ensure our partnership initiatives are seamlessly integrated and deliver maximum impact.

Meet the team

Our Consumer Marketing team in Berlin drives customer acquisition and engagement across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You’ll report to the Head Vertical & Partnerships Marketing, DEATCH, and work closely with Brand, Analytics, and Product Marketing teams across Europe and globally. If you’re a strategic, hands-on Marketing Expert who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and delivering measurable impact, our team and this role are for you.

What we're looking For  

  • 8+ years of experience in partnership or channel marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful partnership programs

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and tactics, including CRM, onsite marketing, digital marketing, content marketing; event marketing is a plus

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in German and English, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Bachelor and/or equivalent work experience required
