Meet the Team 

The Solutions Engineering team is responsible for designing, implementing, and enabling Cisco's Digital Resilience strategy for organizations across India. Working at the forefront of Enterprise Networking and Cybersecurity, the team partners with customers and strategic channel partners to build next-generation networking, security, cloud, and application delivery solutions. 

As part of this high-impact team, you'll collaborate with Cisco Sales, Partner Account Managers, Channel Leaders, and cross-functional technical specialists to develop innovative architectures that help customers modernize their infrastructure, improve cyber resilience, and accelerate digital transformation. 

Your Impact 

As a Solutions Engineer, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor to Cisco's strategic partners, driving technical strategy, solution development, and partner enablement across Cisco's Enterprise Networking and Security portfolio. You will build strong relationships with channel partners and distribution teams, lead technical discussions, drive Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate customer success and business growth. 

Responsibilities 

  • Build and own strategic technical relationships with partners, serving as their primary technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle. 

  • Develop Partner Technical Business Plans and drive technical readiness across Cisco's Networking and Security architectures. 

  • Design, position, and demonstrate end-to-end Cisco solutions through customer workshops, executive presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs). 

  • Collaborate with Partner Account Executives, Partner SE Leaders, Channel teams, and Cisco Business Units to develop strategic opportunities and grow partner capabilities. 

  • Provide technical leadership on Enterprise Networking, Security, Cloud, and Digital Resilience architectures while influencing long-term partner investment and technology strategy. 

  • Enable partner technical teams through architecture workshops, technical training, solution positioning, and use-case development. 

  • Identify market trends, competitive technologies, and partner capability gaps, providing recommendations that align with Cisco's architectural priorities. 

  • Support partners throughout the customer lifecycle, including opportunity qualification, solution design, technical presentations, implementation planning, and post-sales technical guidance. 

  • Act as the primary escalation point for partner technical issues while promoting Cisco support services and technical resources. 

  • Capture field feedback and collaborate with Cisco Product Management and Engineering teams to influence future product enhancements and solution development. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, Network Architecture, Security Consulting, or Technical Sales. 

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or CCIE are required or highly preferred. 

  • Strong expertise in Cisco Enterprise Networking and Security solutions, including Routing & Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, Data Center, Cloud Networking, and Cisco Security technologies such as Secure Firewall, Secure Access (SASE), Umbrella, ISE, Duo, Secure Endpoint, XDR, and Zero Trust Architecture. 

  • Proven experience working with Cisco Distribution and Channel Partner ecosystems, driving technical enablement, partner onboarding, GTM execution, and partner-led sales motions across Enterprise Networking and Security solutions.  

  • Experience managing or influencing large distributed technical organizations, including distributor SE teams, partner technical communities, or regional technical enablement programs. 

  • Proven experience working with Channel Partners, System Integrators, or Value-Added Resellers (VARs), driving partner enablement, technical strategy, and complex customer engagements. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience delivering executive presentations, technical workshops, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for enterprise customers and partners. 

  • Experience working with Cisco distributors or large partner ecosystems, supporting partner enablement, GTM execution, and technical engagement across regional or national markets 

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco's cross-architecture portfolio, including Enterprise Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, Data Center, and AI-driven solutions. 

  • Experience integrating Cisco Networking and Security solutions with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. 

  • Strong consultative selling, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and Digital Resilience strategies.
