Partner Implementation Consultant

As a Partner Implementation Consultant, you will serve as the primary technical contact for small to mid ERP integration partnership projects. You will be expected to effectively manage resources, schedule, and quality of deliverables through the full project life cycle (discovery, analysis, design, construction, test and implementation). The Partner Implementation Consultant will work in conjunction with our partners to provide expertise to design, implement, and support standard integrations to be reused by our core Professional Services team and system integrator partners. You will be responsible for working with external partners on documenting the functional requirements, template document designs, and business requirements as it relates to the Billtrust product suite. You will be also responsible for reviewing complex data files, mapping documents, customer requirements and providing consulting on best practices. You will need to be able to speak to the internal technical capabilities of Billtrust’s products while understanding partner requirements in order to provide each partner the direction and guidance on their options for the best user experience as it pertains to their business needs. You will be proficient in the areas of Project Management, Relationship Management, Business Analysis and Resource Management.

What You'll Do:

  • Discuss project requirements based on partner’s statement of work (SOW), and have an understanding of data file specifications, data elements, and file transmission protocol
  • Work directly with partner project stakeholders to gather, understand, and define both functional and business requirements
  • Serve as the primary implementation point of contact for the Development and Quality Assurance Teams at Billtrust in fielding questions/concerns regarding requirements and assisting the team in developing their test plans
  • Be the main point of contact for other internal Billtrust Teams in fielding questions/concerns as it relates to the build of how to support a partner’s in-scope requirements
  • Monitor change requests and prevent unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep
  • Configure internal tools to perform product set-up
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan using project management software and execute all stages of the implementation
  • Use excellent communication skills to establish a common understanding of project requirements, and expectations on delivery across internal and external teams
  • Consistently learning and keeping up to date on Billtrust products, capabilities and new features
  • Recommend, and make improvements to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Desktop Procedures (DTP) documentation that is leveraged by the team for future projects
  • Travel up to 30%


What You'll Bring:

  • Experience managing projects, with the ability to discuss both technical and business project requirements in detail - 3+ years of relevant experience in full life-cycle management of small to medium scale technical projects
  • Critical thinking to analyze complex situations and independently determine the appropriate course of action
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in gathering and documenting requirements, creating functional design specifications, business writing skills and interacting with business partners and technical resources at all levels of organizations both internally and externally
  • Experience and proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and non- technical personnel at all levels of organizations both internally and externally
  • Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT), supervising test team activities, and assisting users through user acceptance test processes.
  • Strong sense of urgency and proven background meeting stringent timelines for project deliverables without compromise to quality while effectively working with other teams.
  • Ability to proactively identify and address project risks and issues
  • Strong organizational skills to manage, and implement multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills to conduct client and status meetings 
  • Experience with Project Management Tools to execute under accelerated timeframes
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education/experience

The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000 annually.

Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
