The Opportunity

Our Australia team is seeking to hire a Partner Client Manager based in Australia, with a location preference of Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

The Partner Client Manager (PCM) is a pivotal role at the intersection between a Partner University Admission team and ApplyBoard’s Customer Experience and Sales teams. The PCM is accountable for ensuring positive communication of Partner University procedures, requirements, and needs with internal stakeholders. 

This position acts as a central point of contact for our partner institutions and internal departments to resolve escalations, troubleshoot new processes, and support innovative strategies to ensure admissions success. The successful candidate is required to ensure that applications are flowing smoothly through the various processes, identify any issues, and facilitate resolutions and improvements. This role will require strong communication, partner management, problem solving, project coordination, and process analytics skills. A passion for excellence and a strong sense of accountability and initiative are a must.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as a single point of contact with Australian institutions on admissions/operations related subjects

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for your assigned portfolio of institutions

  • Manage an escalation process

  • Improve student support metrics such as conversion rates, offer rates and turnaround time

  • Monitor and report on KPIs and help develop new KPIs and forecasts

  • Maintain positive relationships and communications with Partner institutions through regular touchpoints

  • Prepare and share reports with institutions to inform them about current metrics and trends. 

  • Perform thorough institutional research prior to partner meetings

  • Assist in documenting procedures

  • Conduct onboarding calls for new institutional partners and facilitate refresher training sessions/re-onboarding sessions for new processes/programs at existing partners

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and liaise with internal teams and/or institutions to implement

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to address operational concerns and process improvements

What you bring to the table:

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a customer (internal or external) oriented role 

  • Must have at least 2 years of student recruitment or institution admissions experience in an Australian Higher Education institution

  • Account management skills

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace productivity tools, particularly Google Sheets and Google Slides (or equivalent)

  • Superb written and verbal communications skills

  • Incredible attention to detail

  • Passion for excellence

  • Comfortable interacting with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally
