Are you dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment? We are looking for a Utility Service / Fueling Associate to help keep our para-transit fleet fueled, clean, safe, and ready for daily service.
In this role, you will support daily yard operations, fuel island activity, vehicle inspections, light maintenance, and overall facility cleanliness. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping operations moving and enjoys active, hands-on work.
What You’ll DoAs a Utility Service / Fueling Associate, you will play an important role in preparing vehicles and supporting the daily flow of para-transit operations. Responsibilities include:
Opening the lot and checking para-transit parking areas to ensure vehicles can be dispatched on time
Repositioning vehicles as needed to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow in the yard
Opening and operating the fuel island
Taking accurate fuel stick and meter readings
Completing daily fuel inventory sheets and required fuel reports
Monitoring fuel levels and notifying management when deliveries are needed
Following proper procedures during fuel deliveries, including pre- and post-delivery readings
Checking and filling vehicle fluids, including oil, antifreeze, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid
Inspecting belts, tires, and vehicles for damage during fueling or scheduled checks
Reporting vehicle damage, tire issues, or maintenance concerns immediately
Maintaining spill response supplies and assisting with spill containment procedures when necessary
Cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors to help maintain a clean and professional fleet
Performing light building and grounds maintenance, including yard cleanup, grass, weeds, and other assigned projects
Supporting additional operational needs as assigned by management
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the day. You should be comfortable working outdoors, communicating with team members, and following established procedures.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong attendance and punctuality
Ability to interact professionally with drivers, employees, customers, management, client representatives, union officials, and the public
Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays based on business needs
This is an active, hands-on position that requires working outdoors in seasonal weather conditions. Candidates must be able to:
Work in wet, cold, hot, or changing outdoor conditions
Stand, bend, stoop, crouch, squat, and kneel while performing inspections and other duties
Use full hearing, speech, and vision abilities
Use hands and fingers for paperwork, equipment, and basic manual tasks
Write clear, legible reports
Drive a company or personal vehicle for work-related purposes when required
