Overview of the role
As a Paraplanner, you'll work closely with financial planning practices to develop compliant advice documents aligned with client objectives, licensee requirements, and industry best practices.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy financial analysis, strategy development, technical research, and producing high-quality advice documentation.
Main duties include:
- Review Fact Finds and update CRM systems
- Conduct pre-flight audits of SOA files to ensure complete documentation
- Participate in strategy confirmation discussions
- Prepare product comparisons and quotation analyses
- Perform financial modelling of current and recommended client positions
- Prepare, merge, and edit Statements of Advice (SOAs) and related documentation
- Maintain accurate workflow and client systems as required
- Participate in ongoing professional development and technical learning initiatives
Requirements
- A graduate in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; or
- At least 2-year level standing in college with 2 years of work experience in any industry
- With Advanced Diploma of Paraplanning (preferred but not required)
- Experience using XPLAN or similar financial planning software is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourceful, proactive, and results-driven
