As Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in the corporate legal department by ensuring compliance with local laws and execution of critical transactions. 
 

Major Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provides Legal support to contracts for Sandoz Swiss Entities, including review, proof-reading as may be required

  • Supports (including drafting and proof-reading) on various legal documents such as e.g. CDAs, PoAs, UBO, confirmations and authorizations, certificates, protocols

  • Deals with, and provides reliable handling of notarization process

  • Supports and executes on special projects.

  • Manages the document flow with involved stakeholders and arranges for signature of documents; ensuring contract lifecycle management. Maintains the database including physical & digital archiving system.

  • Monitors related activities including documentation.

  • Supports optimization and simplification of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes.

  • Maintains the overview of timelines and deliverables in all assigned projects.

  • Acts as a team member for legal projects.

  • Informs, communicates, advises and supports the team and associates from outside the team on processes, guidelines and services that are specific to the department.

  • Accommodates customers’ specific needs and is a professional partner to people within and outside the department.


 

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential requirements

  • Paralegal Certificate or Commercial training (e.g. Swiss Association of Commercial Employees, business school) or equivalent. (e.g. Swiss Matura plus business experience or Bachelor (preference Legal)

  • Experience as “Paralegal” or „Administrative Specialist“ within a legal environment or similar.

  • Fluent in both English and German. (spoken and written). Additional languages advantageous.

  • Excellent communication: can focus on what matters, adjusts the form of communication depending on the stakeholders.

  • Great organizational skills: can organize own work, activities, and tasks as well as activities within the department / team in an effective, transparent, and professional manner.

  • Pro-active, curious, challenges status quo. Seeks to improve things.

  • Can execute assigned tasks in a timely manner and according to the deadlines, can work under time-pressure.
